1. Is DeckTracker.com free to use?
Yep. All the Magic the Gathering Online deck and card analysis tools on the DeckTracker.com website are free to use. Free, two-minute registration is required prior to uploading your cards and decks.
2. Why is registration required prior to uploading Magic decks and cards?
There's a couple reasons why registration is required. First, your account name will be used throughout the site; it is posted with the decks you publish to the Deck Library, listed next to any cards you sell, and provided to customers who buy your cards in the card shop, so they'll know who to get the cards from in-game. Secondly, registration helps weed out the spambots that may stumble across the site and try to submit nonsense content.
3. Will I be added to spam mailing lists after I register? (What's DeckTracker's spam policy?)
DeckTracker's spam policy can be summed up in three little words: "We. Hate. Spam." DeckTracker will never give out the email addresses, or any other contact information, to third-parties. We may send out an email newsletter every now-and-again, but even that only goes out to DeckTracker members who have opted-in for a subscription to it. Unsolicited email is a colossal waste of time and resources for everybody, and we have absolutely no patience for it. That's why any DeckTracker member found using DeckTracker member info to send unsolicited messages will have their DeckTracker membership cancelled, will be forever banned from the site, and will be made fun of by the DeckTracker staff.
4. How do I upload my Card Pool?
Your "Card Pool" is a list of all the cards in your MTGO account. Your Card Pool is used by many of the reports generated in your DeckTracker account area. Your account area includes instructions and easy-to-use tools to upload a listing all of the cards in your MTGO Card Pool with the click of a button.
5. How do I upload my decks?
Each deck you create in the MTGO game is saved on your computer as a file with a ".dec" file extension. Your DeckTracker account area includes instructions and easy-to-use tools to upload your deck files either individually or all at once. The decks you've uploaded can be edited at any time by uploading a newer version of the .dec file. This helps keep your DeckTracker decks up-to-date!
6. Does uploading my cards and decks remove the files from my computer?
Nope. Uploading Magic Online cards and decks will not remove any files from your computer. No personal information is transferred during the upload process.
7. Does DeckTracker collect secret info about my MTGO game account?
No. The card pool and deck files uploaded to DeckTracker do not contain any secret information about your MTGO account, such as your real name, passwords, etc. Remember: no DeckTracker employee or member will ever need your MTGO or DeckTracker account passwords. Never ever! Protecting our site members is in our best interest too! Keep those password a closely guarded secret. Being secret is neat!
8. Can I make my decks private?
Yes. All members have the option to set their decks as either "public" or "private". Public decks will be included in both the list of decks in your account area and DeckTracker's Deck Library, where other members will be able to review the cards in your creation. Private decks will only be displayed within your own account area. Private decks are useful if you just want to find out what cards in your Card Pool you're not using, and don't want to let others know what clever combos you've come up with.
9. How can I find the cards I'm not using in any decks?
After starting your free DeckTracker account, you will have access to your own private account area. Your account area includes easy-to-use tools to upload a list of all the cards in your MTGO Card Pool and all the decks you've created. After uploading these items into your account, several nifty reports will be available in the Reports section of your account area, including a report that will list all of the cards in your Card Pool that aren't used in any of your decks.
10. How can I find cards that I need to complete decks?
In addition to the "Cards I'm not Using" report that's available in the Reports section of your account area, there's also a report that will list all the cards that you have included in decks that are missing from your Card Pool. This report is useful when you're building a new deck, and need to know what cards you may need to go buy to complete it.
11. What do I need in order to buy and sell cards in the online store?
Buying and selling cards in the DeckTracker online store is easy. The DeckTracker store currently only accepts PayPal, so you will need a PayPal account to buy cards. You'll also need a MTGO game account to play with the cards you've purchased. If selling cards, you'll also need to own the cards you're selling. (Duh! Ya' can't sell what you don't own.) After you sell a card in the DeckTracker store, you'll need to schedule a time to meet the buyer within the Magic the Gathering Online game to trade the card to them.
12. How can I send my questions or suggestions to DeckTracker?
